FOR PARENTS

At Anastasia Kids, we aim to partner with you in guiding your child’s walk with Jesus. We believe parents are the most important influence in a child’s life. Raising children to love God and others can be challenging, so we’ve gathered helpful resources to support you on this journey.

PARENTING BOOKS: At Anastasia Kids, we aim to support parents in every phase of their child’s life. We offer a select collection of parenting books, developed alongside our Sunday curriculum, at a discounted price for our parents. In every grade-level guide expect to discover: how your kid will be changing physically, mentally, socially, emotionally, and spiritually over the next 52 weeks; the 6 things each phase needs the most; and how to approach conversations about faith, health, sexual integrity and technology.

PARENT CUE An online resource with relevant articles and resources to help you parent through each phase of your child’s life, Parent Cue is the parent-facing side of our Orange weekend curriculum. Visit the Parent Cue blog for timely articles about parenting from preschool through high school.

CONVERSATIONS ABOUT FAITH Does your child want to talk more deeply about their faith? We have some tools to help you with those conversations. Start with this video (it’s for kids AND parents!), then download the parent guides and let us know how we can help!

If your child understands and has made a decision to follow Jesus Christ but has never been baptized, we would love to have them join us! If you think your child is ready to make this decision but hasn’t yet, we’re happy to set up a time to talk with them. Visit our Baptism Celebration page for more details.

DOES YOUR CHILD STRUGGLE WITH ANXIETY? We understand your child may be concerned about all the big and small things going on in their worlds. Here are some resources to help guide your child through hard conversations.

HELPING A CHILD NAVIGATE GRIEF. Sometimes families must face the unimaginable. We have several resources that may help in hard to explain circumstances.

  • Emily Lost Someone She Loved by Kathleen Fucci. Featured on Focus on the Family’s daily radio broadcast, this illustrated book helps point grieving children back to Jesus after tragedy, by helping them learn that God is closer than they might imagine and understands what they’re going through.
  • Voyage to the Star Kingdom by Anne Riley. Written as an allegory, this illustrated book can be shared and loved in all circumstances, not just the hard ones. The Star King is Jesus. After a terrible storm over the family’s house, he invites the family to his Star Kingdom, with the request that two of the sisters must travel there first. The message explains why we need not fear being separated from our loved ones until we meet again in heaven.

PARENTING IN A DIGITAL WORLD. Maybe your kids are like many others: glued to their smartphones, social media, and streaming entertainment. While we know excessive screen time isn’t healthy, how do we teach our kids digital boundaries? Parenting Generation Screen by Jonathan McKee (by Focus on the Family) offers parents the tools needed to set boundaries, guide your children, and help them navigate the digital landscape.
