What to Expect in Our Sunday Kids Ministry

We’re so excited to welcome your family! Here’s what your first Sunday will look like so you can feel confident and prepared.

1. Arriving at the NextGen Center
Our Kids Ministry meets in the NextGen Center at 1685 Old Beach Rd., St. Augustine FL 32080, on the Anastasa Church Island campus. When you arrive, look for the Welcome Desk in the lobby—our team will be ready to greet you.

2. First-Time Family Check-In
If it’s your first time, you’ll fill out a New Family Registration Form at the Welcome Desk. We’ll give your children (5th grade and younger) name tags and you’ll receive a matching parent tag for pick-up. During the week, our team will use your form to create your KidCheck account—our secure system for both safety and attendance.

3. Weekly Check-In After Your First Visit
Once your KidCheck account is set up, check-in is quick and easy. Head to any of our check-in iPads—located in the main church Atrium or the NextGen Center 1st Floor lobby—and enter your phone number. Your tags will print instantly.

4. Heading to Class

We begin welcoming children into our learning spaces 10 minutes before each service—at 8:50 am and 10:20 am. Before that time, our team is making sure volunteers are in place, classrooms are prepared, and, after the 9 am service, we are often still dismissing children until about 10:15 am.

  • Infants through Kindergarten: After check-in, head to the Early Childhood hallway on the first floor.
  • 1st–5th Grade: Take the stairs (or elevator) to the second floor. You’ll see staff and security at the base of the stairs ensuring that everyone who enters the 2nd and 3rd floors is checked in or known to our team.

5. Safety First
Every volunteer is background-checked and trained. Our KidCheck system ensures your child is only released to you or another adult you authorize.

6. Pick-Up
After service, bring your parent tag to your child’s drop-off location. Our team will match it with your child’s name tag before releasing them to you.

Our goal is for your child to have fun, make friends, and learn about Jesus in a safe and engaging environment—while you enjoy worship knowing they’re in great hands.
