“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10
We are blessed with a wonderful family of men, women, and youth, who give their time to the church to honor God and to love others. To our current volunteers: we thank you for making a difference in the lives of many children. If you’re thinking of becoming a volunteer, we pray for God to guide you in this important decision.
With four services on Sunday morning, we have multiple opportunities for you to worship with the church family and still have time to serve in another service. Anastasia Kids has many different roles and aims to place volunteers, including youth, where they are shaped by God to serve.
We prioritize the safety of our children and students at Anastasia Church. Our team undergoes thorough screening and training, and all volunteers who work with kids and students are known members or actively engaged attenders of the church who have completed an application and interview process, criminal background check, and abuse awareness training. Furthermore, no adult is allowed to work alone with a minor in any setting. To be eligible to apply to serve with children, adult (age 18+) volunteers must:
- be at least 18 years old
- been a known church member or actively engaged attender for at least six months
- complete a Volunteer Application and personal interview
- pass a criminal background check
- complete a sexual abuse awareness training course.
- Read the full Anastasia Church Safe Environment policy here as well as our Children’s Ministry Volunteer Expectations & Values.
Youth Volunteers (Middle + High School Students):
We welcome youth as volunteers; however, we highly encourage them to attend Anastasia Students on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Should a youth and their parent approach us about volunteering instead, the student will complete an application and interview process with Ministry Staff before being scheduled for a specific role. Middle schoolers may serve beginning the January of 6th grade year. Youth may not show up unscheduled on Sundays or Wednesdays and they may not bring friends with them to serve.
